INTERMITTENT FASTING SKEPTIC

Skeptical about Intermittent Fasting?

I believe most people were doing this unintentionally about ten years ago (helping prevent the obesity epidemic) until a faulty web post was published. 📑It claimed “subjects who ate breakfast lost more weight than those who didn’t”, but this was only a sentence pulled from a scholarly article summary. Breakfast is very easily broken down to “break” “fast”, although people understand breakfast as “early morning meal”. 📄Another post hit the web about eating frequent meals during the day to speed up metabolism; so, people thought it was healthy to eat all day. 📮These two “health tips” infected the web. They are true, but not healthy taken out of context.
❣️Intermittent fasting is done in a handful of different ways, but the easiest and most natural, I found, is the 16:8 Method: eat only in an 8 hour window and fast the other 16. 🌿As long as you are getting the appropriate amount of vitamins and macronutrients, this is extremely beneficial for fat loss - not to mention, the array of other health benefits it breeds.
💪🏼Building muscle should be no problem if you’re eating adequate protein. 🍎Once your body has burned the energy of your last meal, it will tap in to fat stores for fuel. 🥑Your body is smart; it will not start attacking your muscles first. This switch in gears is also beneficial for insulin and pancreas function. Almost all organs reap benefit from this eating pattern. In the fasting period, your gut will clear, decreasing inflammation and increasing nutrient absorption in your later meals. Research also found that this meal pattern increases life-span and decreases chances of chronic disease. 🔆Most can’t achieve that when eating from sun-up to sun-down.
❗️There are a small percentage of people that fasting may not be appropriate for, and for that reason, you should consult a doctor before attempting.
⏭I could get deeper and deeper into specifics, but to bring this full circle: Intermittent Fasting is more valuable to the body than just overall body composition. Your organs function more properly as well, aiding in fat loss, reducing disease and cancer formation, and decrease the rate of aging.
